In fabrics, walls, art and other visuals general trends are luxurious curves, rich textures and bold patterns with a spin of ’70s vibe.
Set the table for giving
Think “timeless” and create an old-world atmosphere designed to promote a feeling of sharing. Rose gold candle sticks, brushed silver flatware, sequin-adorned table linens and mint mist hydrangeas are timeless pieces. And they can do “double duty’ at either a high glam gala or an intimate candlelight cocktail party.
Create a magical wonderland
A storybook theme or winter wonderland will sweep guests away from the doldrums of every day and put them in the mood to give. Think simple elegance — contemporary ghost chairs, crystal stemware, deep purple linens and opulent gold flatware with clean lines. Add a simple Sapporo Lily Tulip for a twist of whimsey to bring the fairytale to life.
And keep in mind these words to live by when creating your theme:
3. Execution (okay, maybe two words “Flawless Execution”)
And remember, it’s not the expense. Choose simple options with strong visual impact and meant-for-the-mood lighting to liven up the most basic venue. Make your gala an experience of giving!
